ED 101 Discipleship Resource Question
In the Mobile Ed course ED 101 Introducing Discipleship, I found a resource that I do not own (nothing too unusual about that), however, when I tried to find out what the resource was, it could not be found in the Logos store. It did not tell what the title was, only that it could not be found! After some further digging, I found an abbreviated title: "MSG:BCTMDW" which again doesn't make its presence known in the store. If anyone knows what the title of this resource is, it would be much appreciated. It is NOT one of the "required" reading resources, but I would like to know what it is so that I might decide if it would be a possible purchase in the future. Thank you!!!

Bill,
unless someone drops by who has seen the abbreviated title in his system, it's hard to guess resources from it. For example, as a non-owner, I have no way of knowing what GJIXII:ITN is.
Howver, clicking the resource as if opening it gives a new tab that shows the resource ID. This can be used easily to find out about the resource:

It looks like it is the book Missional Small Groups by M. Scott Boren. When we produced this course it was only available as a Vyrso resource, so that was what we linked to. It is now available as a regular Logos book: https://www.logos.com/product/43246/missional-small-groups

Thank you both. I have added it to my wish list...my fear was that it was something older from Moody Press. Still not sure why it wouldn't show up when I clicked on the link on the page telling me that I did not own that resource.

If you're interested in further supplemental reading, Greg Ogden's Introducing Discipleship just cleared Pre-Pub and is under contract: https://www.logos.com/product/35582/discipleship-essentials-a-guide-to-building-your-life-in-christ
We don't link to this book in the course but it is a great resource for facilitating discipleship triads and one-on-ones which Ogden explains in detail throughout ED101.

Thank you Josh. I have that on pre-pub And I have it in Kindle format...I'm teaching a 2 month long Discipleship training seminar and I want to give my students a chance to look through as many resources as I can.

Bill,
the issue seems to be that Faithlife put resource links to the Vyrso edition into the course and subsequently retracted the resource from Vyrso. Your Logos edition is technically a totally different book and the resource links can't take you there. Maybe Miles will update the course and replace the links with those to the Logos edition (the prior owners of the Vyrso edition should have received the Logos edition for free).
Until then, your only chance would be if Logos gave a grace-licence of the Vyrso edition to you (or all owners of the Logos version who take the ED 101 course)

Thanks Mick. I can read the section of the book that is listed and I guess that I can take notes the old fashioned way...[:|]. At least it isn't a critical operation that will affect my completion of the course.

Mick is right. I've updated the source file to include a link to newer Logos resource, so that will be changed the next time the resource is updated. In the meantime, I've also updated the notes file for the course with a note highlighting the reading in the Logos edition. You can get the latest copy of it in the course's Faithlife group: https://faithlife.com/ed101/documents. The reading is for the entire section of Part 1: Listening.

Thank you Miles. Much appreciated, especially concerning the section of reading. I wasn't sure if it was just the chapter on Listening or the entire section. Again, thank you very much.
