Integrate EVERNOTE
It would be great if Logos could integrate Evernote into its software, perhaps in a similar way to Microsoft's Outlook.

It is currently the top ranking suggestion on UserVoice, so it would probably be more effective, rather than posting replies in this thread, to go vote for it there:
Logos has made no indication that they are at all interested in pursuing this. It is the only one of the top 3 suggestions on UserVoice that is not marked either Planned or Started. So if you want it, keep putting the pressure on there.

Actually -- I would prefer Logos not to do this. I would prefer Logos focus on a set of features that will work with all notes packages, and not integrate any of them. I use OneNote instead of EverNote (the features in OneNote are much broader and deeper).
I've asked for the features we "need" before, but Logos still hasn't released them -- for instance, having a "url to resource" as a cite type, being able to click on a link in a note file and have it open in an external application, etc. In fact, I think Logos would be better off focusing on these sorts of features, rather than trying to recreate the notes capabilities available in external packages within Logos itself.
But -- so far, no dice on any of this stuff.

Surprise Russ - I just successfully created a note with a link that open MS Word. I suggest testing for features you wanted ... this was one I'd wanted but not tried in the new Notes function. And if you haven't asked for a feature since the rewrite for Logos 6, please request the features you need that are still missing.

So you must open the note, then ctrl+click on it -- that's always been available. What I want is when you click on the note itself, it opens OneNote to the right place. It's too many steps to be useful when you're working with hundreds/thousands of steps. On the other side, I want a cite style or an option in all the cites that will copy the URL as part of the cite itself, so that when you paste the quote an automatic link to the right location in Logos is created. Today you must:
1. Copy the text
2. Paste the text
3. Go back to Logos, select a menu, then a submenu, and copy the url to the location/resource
4. Switch back to the external software, find the right place, and paste the url
I've been asking for these two features for years -- been promised the second, but haven't seen it happen, and the first one I usually get "you can already do this," without understanding what I'm actually asking for.
We don't need Evernote or Onenote integrated, we need some targeted features that would work for Evernote, Onenote, Word, Excel, and any other external application you might use alongside Logos. Think of this -- what if you could link a note to a slide in Powerpoint or any other presentation package? Open the Scriptures, you find something with a note, click, and the presentation opens. Today -- as I said above -- you have to open the note itself, then ctrl+click to get there. Two less steps would make this functionality a _lot_ more useful. Building the note, BTW, on the Logos end could be a lot easier, as well -- but let's cross one bridge at a time.

Ah - we use language quite differently ...you want to click on the note icon [8-|] To me, the note icon is what appears in the text and to the left of the note title. Then there is the note title above the note itself which is the content section. You can see why I misunderstood you completely. [:$]

Sure! I just get a little frustrated with Logos from time to time (ha!). I wish we could get some of this simple stuff, it would sure make working on research a lot easier.

I'm working on a sermon and collecting my notes/thoughts/research into Evernote and resource highlights into Logos Notes. I was just realizing that I'd love it if I could use the equivalent of RefTagger in Evernote. That would work if Evernote was integrated into Logos or RefTagger could be a plugin for Evernote.
I'd pay for either. I would pay a subscription fee for "Evernote (Logos Edition)" -- and this is coming from a guy balking at Logos Now (and Cloud).
I do love Evernote. I wonder if all of the notes issues would be lessened if they just bought a plugin from Evernote for Logos. (Maybe not in a legacy notes to Evernote conversion, but Notes features in general).

Russ: I'm not sure I've understood what you're trying to do here, but if you want a link in an external document (like Word) back to a specific passage in Logos, it's pretty easy.
- Go to the Panel menu
- Select Copy Location as URL (that will also store the location on your clipboard)
- Paste it into your external document
Your external program may or may not let you click to get back to the position: in my experience MS Office programs do, though. With Notes, it looks like you can only link to the note document as a whole with this technique, not individual notes within the document.
After you've done #2 once, it will remember that choice and you can use a keyboard shortcut without opening the panel menu (on Mac, it's option-command-C: on Windows, it's control-alt-C).

I' m with Russ I rather they not focus on one note service since not everyone uses evermore. I am a OneNote user and a simple copy paste method that would copy the references in different formats would be better that way anyone can use any note service available.
