Is there a way to make a collection based on when a book was last updated? Like "collection = all my books that were updated in last six months" (so I don't miss some of the newer ones in my library ).
Thanks!
Brian
I don't think that is possible, but even if it were it wouldn't get necessarily what you are looking for. It would have any and all updates so if tags were updated it would show up. Does that make sense?
Now you can filter by last updated in the library view if you would like.
According to the wiki and assuming that this information is still current, the answer is no.
I did find a bit of a workaround. I grabbed all the resources updated in 2015 (organizing the library tab by Last Updated) and then put a tag on those resources, Updated2015. Then I did a collection that starts with "mytag:Updated2015". At this point, it's just a matter of weeding out types that I don't want (Bibles, Journals, etc). Thinking this will get me what I'm looking for, given there isn't a clean way to do it.
Thanks, everybody!
I'm curious as to what you want to use this collection for. "Last updated" refers to when FL last updated the file, but the resource itself could be much older than others that have not been updated by FL as recently.
The goal was a way to isolate those books which I purchased most recently (since I can't sort by purchase date, "last updated" was the best field I could think to use). Since my tagging and collection rules are always a work in progress, I was looking for a way to make sure I'm not missing some insight because a book has fallen through the cracks of my collections (or not been put into a collection yet).
After making a bunch of purchases from the March Madness sale, I find it even more exciting (can I say that?) to see what my new books have to say on the passages I'm studying.

New library resources have myrating of 0 (while community rating can be different) so can filter library for new Logos resources whose collection(s) have not been checked:
edition:l myrating:0
When have verified a resource is in desired collection(s), then change rating to 2 stars. Personally like English resources to be in 5 or more collections since have 4 largish collections:
If a resource is not in desired collection(s), then have two options: modify collection(s) to include resource or add tag(s).
Logos resources have subject metadata, but Vyrso resources do not. Tagging Vysro eBooks (edition:e) can be very helpful for collections.
Thankful for Rosie's ratings => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/4363/157779.aspx#157779
0 stars - just purchased, haven't had time to do anything with it yet (though I usually do them right away so they don't stay in this state for very long)1 star - I really don't think this resource is very valuable and would usually chose to ignore it, but I don't dislike it enough to hide it2 stars - the rating I assign to everything as soon as I buy it, which means basically "I don't know yet what I think of this"3 stars - good4 stars - very good5 stars - outstanding, one of my favorite resources
When have an opinion about a resource, then change rating appropriately.
Note: If you join Faithlife group Logos Collections, then you can freely copy Collections by clicking Get Copy to the right of the desired document name followed by synchronizing Logos. Alternative is Select All then Action => Get Copies. Currently Collections has 317 shared documents: primarily dynamic rules using metadata plus some manual additions.

It requires a little discipline, but I am now in the habit of tagging all my resources with 'purchased-YEAR/MONTH/DATE' as per below. This then allows me to filter new purchases by year, month or even day (via mytag:"purchased-2015/04", for example). I am not sure how much use this is (given your particular needs), but thought I would mention it, just in case.
