Bristol/Bloomsbury books

Somebody should post something about the recent production of the Bloomsbury Academic Culture and History Bundle. Interestingly enough, it seems to have changed from Bristol Classical Press to Bloomsbury, no idea why: Bristol is (was?) a well known publisher of Greek and Latin materials. Any word from Logos?

In any case, I'm very happy to have made the plunge and bought everything. I think it's an exciting development for Faithlife to have so many classics texts and learning materials available in the format. I hope we'll be seeing more such material in the near future.

I have, however, noticed a few problems with some of the texts. The Xenophon volume on the Persian Expedition, Book 1 does not appear to be correctly marked as "Greek" text, with the result that the morphological tagging doesn't appear and the visual filters don't work correctly. The other books are labelled correctly.

I'll post any other problems I find here.

I was going to post about what I thought was a typo in the famous first line of Caesar's Gallic Wars, "Gallia est omnis divisa in partis tris", but it would appear that it is a sic.

I learned from Allen and Greenough’s New Latin Grammar that "the i-declension was confused even to the Romans themselves [...]".

    Even Caesar! ;)

    Hi Greg,

Sorry for the confusion. Bloomsbury purchased the Bristol and Duckworth imprints a while back. They rolled them all under Bloomsbury Academic earlier this year.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll look into that.

Oh, I should also note that they are exactly the same resources, it was just a change in name.
