When Noet freebies get even better...
I was pleasantly surprised today to find that the plus one item to the Noet Friday Freebie included a double volume on Hesiod, one in English, the other in Greek. See here.
First nice surprise then was to have the original in addition to the translation. But there was another nice surprise, considering the 0.99 price tag: the Greek is tagged since the Hesiod volumes actually are from the Loeb library!
Now, picking up a Loeb library volume for 0.99 is a very sweet deal.
Happy and grateful.

Is the English Loeb identical to the Perseus translation both by Hugh G. Eveylyn-White? Is the Loeb Greek tagged, but the Perseus Greek is not tagged?
I guess I am asking what difference is there in these volumes between Perseus and Loeb?

Yes, it is the same translation (Perseus is based on the loeb texts as far as I understand), but the individual loeb volumes available through noet are cleaner than those available in Perseus. See for instance this screenshot (left is the Perseus text, right is the plus one of the noet freebie I downloaded today) (click on the screenshot to see more detail):
