Whether you want to learn Greek and Hebrew for the first time or are simply looking for a refresher, Michael Heiser and Johnny Cisneros are excellent guides. With this tools-based approach, you’ll learn the terminology, tools, and methods needed to interpret words and passages of Scripture—without memorization.

  • Focused on exegesis. Rather than having you memorize vocabulary or translate phrases into English, lessons focus on using Greek and Hebrew to interpret the meaning of the text. Learn grammatical terms and concepts, proper methods for doing word studies, and common mistakes to avoid.
  • Equipping you with tools. Video tutorials show you how to use the advanced language tools in Logos 6. You’ll also learn how to use dictionaries and lexicons, reverse interlinears, commentaries, and more.
  • Connected to your library. Each course is transcribed and becomes a searchable Logos resource connected to grammars, reverse interlinears, and other resources in your library. Read along as you watch the lectures and jump to recommended readings with a click.
  • Learning on your schedule. Watch 5–10-minute lectures from your mobile device or computer, whenever your schedule allows. Set your own pace, and then track your progress with quizzes and exams. These courses contain over 20 hours of lectures and demonstrations that will take you all the way from understanding the basics to performing advanced research techniques.

    1. What's the total size of both courses if I were to download them to my PC?
    2. Is there no download progress information when downloading media such these?
    3. Under which version of Logos did they work their videos?

    Version 6.

    Thanks for the reply HansK.

    1. Insta-buy
    2. Why download? .. Why not? Hard-drives are cheap these day, plus with 300Mbps at home it shouldn't take that long.
    3. I guess my real question was which version of Logos 6?

Because fast reliable internet connections are not available to everyone all of the time and the moment you want to use these sort of resources will be the moment your internet connection is not working - ask Murphy all about it. I'd be very reluctant to buy m.Ed if there was no download option given the price we are being charged for these resources.

How big are these files when downloaded to my pc?

Are the files downloaded to the default drive C: or is there an option to dowload the video files to a different drive. I run Logos from SSD (which is my C: drive) but would prefer to keep the video files on the larger fixed hard drive (in my case D:).

    Is that possible?

They will download into the directory structure where you have Logos installed.  I choose to install Logos on my D: drive so my download to my D:drive in my Logos installation.  For you they will download to your c drive. There is no option to choose a separate location to download the videos or any other resource files unlike Libroinx where we did have that option.

It is possible to use a Windows function (I assume you can do the same on the map) to relocate files from any folder to another. It works in 99% of applications, including Logos. I use it to move my downloaded media onto another drive.

    To do this:

    1. Make sure Logos is closed.
    2. Create a folder on your secondary drive that will hold the files. I call mine Logos WebCache.
    3. Navigate to your main Logos Data folder (%localappdata%\Logos\Data\{random}).
    4. Right-click on the WebCache folder, choose Properties and on the General tab, copy the Location to the clipboard. This makes life easier later. Then click OK.
    5. Move the WebCache folder into the folder you created earlier.
    6. From the Start Menu type cmd. Look for Command Prompt in the search results, right-click on it, and choose Run as Administrator.
    7. Enter the following command
    • mklink /J {LogosFolderName}\Webcache "D:\Logos WebCache"
  • Note the following:
    • The {LogosFolderName} can be pasted in by right-clicking. Don't enter the curly braces.
    • You need to put quotes around file/folder names if they contain a space.

Here's what it should look like:

    Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.10240]

    (c) 2015 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\Windows\System32>mklink /J C:\Users\mark\AppData\Local\Logos\Data\vg0v4gyh.gbn\WebCache "d:\Logos WebCache\Webcache"

    Junction created for C:\Users\mark\AppData\Local\Logos\Data\vg0v4gyh.gbn\WebCache <<===>> d:\Logos WebCache\Webcache

Please note that this isn't supported by Logos, but you shouldn't have any problems.
