Video in Macbook Pro has issues

Hello all. This is a first for me. I have been using a Dell laptop with Windows 10 to present Proclaim each week at church. It has gotten kind of buggy recently, so I decided to try my new (2015) MacBook Pro. The issue I'm having is with video within the software. When I upload and play video, there is a jumpy line that jumps across the middle of the screen on the video frame when there is very light background. When the background is dark, it goes away. I brought the video back up on the Dell laptop with Windows 10 and there is no line. It almost looks like an electrical interference. So I tried it again on the Macbook Pro without it being plugged in and with nothing connected to it and the jumpy lines are still there. Is there an issue with video playing in Proclaim on a Macbook Pro?

Hello Darrell, there aren't any known issues with video playback on Mac. Does this happen with all videos? Or just your upload? A screenshot of what you're seeing might help us diagnose as well.

It's only happening on the Macbook pro and within Proclaim. I don't know if this might cause an issue, but when I plugged in the Adapter for the VGA, the projector would not recognize the computer. I had to do the Option, Command, P, R deal on boot and it picked it up. I can go to the same video that I downloaded on Youtube and there is no issue. There is also no issue within Proclaim on my Windows machine. Just this Macbook Pro. I've attached a screenshot. It is a green line that flickers and jumps during the video across the screen.

It's on all videos in Proclaim on the MCB.

If you go OnAir, does the video on the projector have a greenline too?

It does.

Interesting, I have never seen anything like this. Have you tried plugging it in to another display? And I know this might sound silly, but have tried turning the laptop off and on again?

Right now, it's not plugged into anything. I shut it down to bring it home from church and powered it back up. Let me try powering down again and bringing it back up and see if that resolves it.

Shut everything down and restarted and green flickering line is still there. I also deleted the video and uploaded it again and it's still there.

Alright; we use Apple's video player in Proclaim, it could be an issue with your OS X version. What version are you running? Are there any updates available?Sorry about this, sounds frustrating.

I'm running OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.3. I just checked and there are no updates available.

I just impersonated your account to try out your presentation and was able to reproduce the green flash on my MBP. I also tried playing the video in QuickTime directly (outside of Proclaim) and was able to reproduce the green flash again. It looks like Windows Media Player (used in Proclaim for Windows) is handling the video file better than QuickTime. Searching around I see discussions about QuickTime showing a green bar when video files are of poor quality. You have a couple options
a) adjust the settings on whatever tool you are using to download the video from YouTube.
b) use a web page service item to stream the video directly from YouTube - http://support.proclaimonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/2031712090 -
I think I have resolved the issue. It seems that if I set the quality of download better than the quality of the video 720p vs 480, the flickering line appears. If I adjust the download to the quality of the video, it goes away and works ok. I appreciate your help.
