Sometimes when you highlight Hebrew text, the diacritical marks (vowels and others) get displaced and show next to the character they are supposed to be under, with a dotted circle as a placeholder.
Here's an example from BHS/WHM 4.2 (Numbers 10:11). I selected the wordנַעֲלָה֙ , and applied blue foreground highlighting to it. See how the dotted circle appears to the left of the he.
