My Logos 4 Mac will not load

I upgrade from version 16 to 17 but then the program would not open. I called support and was told to delete the application from my application folder and download the program again. When I try starting the program it tells me that it is signing in then preparing your library, then goes to a blank gray screen then back to the desktop. I have deleted the program and re-downloaded several times with the same results.
I am using Snow Leopard 10.6.3. I have not received any error report where it logs anything wrong with the system or program. What is my next step?

I seem to be having the same problem. Everything worked good until I updated earlier this week. Now Logos will not open. I downloaded Alpha 17 again, but that did not fix the problem. I'm a new Mac user and could use some help.

I had a similar problem - then I tried deleting the layouts.db file and everything worked fine. See if that works for you.
Here's the thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/14986.aspx

p.s. to help you find that file, you can use Spotlight as noted in the thread, or I used a free program called EasyFind that you can get here
p.p.s. an obvious side effect of removing the layouts.db file is that you lose your layouts! But hopefully it's easy to rebuild them again. As noted in the thread, just moving it out of the folder will be the same as deleting it. In the event that this fix doesn't work for you, you can just drag it back into the same folder.
