    • the ability to see what books I've set to available "offline"

There's a bug that lets you do it. [:)]  In the library, type "rating:1" (actually, any number) into the filter and all your offline books will show up.

The answer to all of this is simple: when you buy an IPad purchase the one that has 3G so you are always connected.

That is good advice. I do it with iPhone all the time but there is a problem for us here in Europe with it. I drive a few kilometers and the country changes [:)] and I am on roaming. The data on roaming are SO expensive it is not usable. So we need offline mode working with searching and other features.

Since it looks for some time we have to forget full-blood Logos on any Tablet device (HP Slate with W7 was my hope...) we need to see Logos for iPad to be much more than just an iPhone application. I know what I say here is no news for Logos. They knew it much earlier and I think they work already on that for quite a time. My estimation is we will see some good development in the iPad application in the near future. It is just my guess of course, no insider's info leaking from Logos [:)]

Just moments ago on Foxnews I read that Sprint is coming out with a 4G super-duper phone in June that literally becomes a wifi hotspot.  The article said that if anyone has one of these phones while driving down the highway up to 4 people in the van can connect their wifi device to the internet via the phone.  Now that's what I'm talking about!

IF UR interested the phone model is:EVO 4G by HTC

"super-duper" of course being the technical term.  [:D]

Other nice to have features would be:

    - when using the "share" function for twitter or facebook that it actually lets you share a selection of text not just the title of what you are reading... and if it's a Bible passage should share the passage with a short url link to it vs. promoting the logos app

    - also being able to copy and paste portions of the book for note taking and to external apps (e.g. pages, keynote) would be extremely helpful

Looking forward to the next release - any ideas on what that is planned for?.

I am using the iPad app more and more and it really is one of the main reasons I purchased the iPad

    Sumair-

So is the iPad Logos application basically like iPhone app, or is it more like the full-blown L4?

    Hi Dan,

Unfortunately, I havent used the iphone app. I would suggest it is more like the iphone app right now and probably will graduate to being more like the desktop app in the future.

The logos site has several screenshots to give you a feel for it. And I believe Kevin Purcell (sp?) posted a personal video review of it to give you a feel for it.

    I hope that helps.

    God Bless,

Personally, a major influence on my buying an iPad was to read the books  in my LOGOS library.  I don't know that it can do the searches, and I wish you were able to highlight and take notes, which I'm hoping will come with future innovations.

    It does Bible Word Studies.

For reading books offline, when you are connected select the book from your library, tap the arrow on the right and a synopsis of the book appears.  there is a switch that you can choose to make it available offline.  I know I'm getting a tremendous amount of reading done while away from my computer and my office.  I love it!

When you say that note taking is not available, I am assuming no clipping either?
