4.0c beta 4 - Consistent crash while paging up / down anywhere in ESV

I was getting same until:

I opened a blank layout, made it smaller than the screen, and reopened ESV, now i still get a sporadic crash but can page up/down many times without crashing

I know theres a problem, but it may make it almost workable.. it has for me..
