Check out the Verse of the Day 2 Samuel 6:11 Media picture for 2/27/18
Difficult for me to see. Maybe (in the interest of theology and science, of course) we should ask some of the Angles who contribute to the forum.
Yeah their rear end is hanging out too. Weird angels. I dare say that it is probably not what the ancient Israelites were visualizing.
It's a new angle on angels.
I saw the title and thought maybe a new Leyner/Goldberg book was coming out.
probably not since many feel cherubs were most likely basically a winged Sphinx... The angels who are human like, would they have belly butt s. Do we look like angels or do they assume our shape to make us more comfortable. God creates angels but also creates us as a reading of Psalm 139 would suggest. I realize that this was tongue in check request but the fact is that we do not have a lot of information from the Bible on the nature of all angels and classes of them although we do know that some may be mistaken for humans, others are more frightening and awesome even causing humans to desire to worship them. I am happy to say I don’t know how they look but am sure they are varied and or manifest in many different ways.

Yes - most of them. But so do the Scots.
I know this started as a tad of humor, But if one were seriously studying the issue, they would have to consider Mark 12:25.
"For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven."
One gets a belly button at birth. Were the angels born outside of marriage?
But I get your point, Dan. God can "paint" them to appear any way He chooses.
...
They have as many Belly Buttons as the number that hang around on the head of a pin!
i.e. they have far more important things to be getting on with.
Shalom
Mark 12:25.
Since marriage was about ownership in many ways this can be seen as freedom. I do not own you you don't me but we are all God's alone. Are angels born that I cannot say... Angels can have sex if we see sons of God as angels in Genesis 6 as has been traditional and makes the most sense for the nephilim and the need for the flood. That said I know there are other interpretations... One may argue Jesus has a belly button if they are at all patterned after Jesus (not that we are told angels are made in God's image) would he not care to put one on them... This discussion is about as useful as about how many angels may dance on the head of a pin... But interesting to posit no doubt.
No angles don’t have belly buttons, angles are not persons. Perhaps an angel may
Besides this question is not too fruitful to explore. In the big picture does it really matter
The wayward Elohim "Sons of God" don't have belly buttons but their offspring, the Navelim, do.
well, they sure made babies....
