I had not noticed why before but one of the factors that contributes to Bible text not looking as neat in resource windows is the misalignment of verse numbers as in the screenshot below (I zoomed in quite a bit to make sure the alignment is easy to see on the smaller forum posts):

Now I can understand that perhaps the 14 is misaligned to mark the beginning of the pericope as is the boldface type, but why are not the other numbers perfectly aligned? (This is the NASB95).
I found the same in the NRSV. The ESV is in paragraph format but when I use the one verse at a time filter, I observe misalignment as well.
Not sure what accounts for that but I am sure it would look better if it were not misaligned.
