I assume this is something additional to the free Logos training videos offered to everyone, but I haven't found anything describing what it consists of or how it's accessed.
Can anyone provide a pointer to where it's described?
I'm guessing it refers to Logos Pro Training.
The Logos Pro videos can be viewed by anyone, whether or not a Faithlife Connect member, so I hope that's not what they are referring to in the list of Faithlife Connect features/benefits.
It's available on the free tier of Connect so I think that's a reasonable guess. I'm not positive though.

I agree. The Basic connect package specifies that you get 14-volume research library and some basic bibles study tools. In addition to that, you get free training to learn how to use those things.

If someone signs up to Faithlife Connect and they're not familiar with Logos or want to improve their knowledge of it, it's helpful for them to know that they get training material included for free. That's all.

By "extra $100/year", I simply meant it was $100 a year I wouldn't be spending if not a subscriber to the Essentials package, which was the only package I would be considering.
I agree with you Rick. FL marketing is stating a benefit of connect membership is free training. Yet if all it is referring to is Logos Pro training then the marketing is misleading - no matter how others may want to try and paint it. It is not a benefit of a connect membership at all if it is available to those who are not connect members.

You have not been around long enough to understand FL marketing has a history of making misleading statements.

Thankful for free Mobile Ed courses => LT270: Study the Bible with Logos: Jonah 1:1–16 and => LT271: Study the Bible with Logos: Jonah 1 that can be used "inside the app" (albeit everyone can freely obtain a "permanent" license so Connect subscription could include "temporary" license). Personally would appreciate Faithlife adding a link to Free Training pop-up for clarification.

It is not a benefit of a connect membership at all if it is available to those who are not connect members.
It would mean that it's not a benefit specifically limited to those with a connect membership - unless the course is automatically (rather than manually) added to your library, of course - if it is, then that would be a specific benefit.
The list mentions that free users get unlimited installs and a 14 book library included too - I'm willing to bet that these would be available without signing up to Connect at all.
All that is fine by me if you just understand it as "a list of what you get" rather than "a list of what you couldn't get without it".
Of course, this is all assuming that the free tier is something that you need to sign up for - for all I know it might be what everyone that has a Faithlife account now benefits from automatically (unless superseded by a higher tier). I have no idea.
If you go to Faithlife TV and scroll down there is a training section. Though I'm not sure if that is what they are referring to or not.
James you not convincing me at all other than pointing out other misleading benefits of the program that are actually availble to all users of the software whether or not they are a connect member and highlighting. These 'benefits' should be listed separately and it should be clearly stated that as a user of Logos Bible Software you also get access to: x, y, z on top of your connect membership.
But using your logic they may as well add as a benefit to Connect Membership that you also receive your 10th Coffee Free while studying using Logos Bible Software from your local participating coffee shop. It's not specifically limited to Connect Members, it's not even specifically limited to Logos Bible Software users but it's a benefit you can get regardless if your local coffee shop offers it.
So if you drink coffee next time you get a free one, dont' forget to thank Bob and your FL Connect Membership, and if you dont' have one still say thanks to Bob anyway because you can get it still as a 'benefit' of studying long hours with Logos Bible Software.

Rick also has a point that it doesn't serve existing Logos users very well; it doesn't identify what benefits would be "new to you," as we do on base package pages, for example. That's something we can work on.

I appreciate your post Adam. FWIW, there was a time I wasn't at all passionate about either Faithlife or Logos. But it's a daily part of my life now and I'd miss it terribly if it wasn't. I have to say though that I'm more than a little bewildered at your statement that the Connect web pages were designed with new customers in mind. As feedback on the forum easily shows, the transition from Logos Now to Faithlife Connect had an immediate and significant impact on existing customers, not new ones. I expect that will be the case for quite a while and until that changes, the people most likely to be visiting the Connect pages are your current Logos customers.
So while there has been some confusion about the transition from Logos Now to Faithlife Connect, I do want to say "Thanks!" to the entire Faithlife staff for all you guys (and gals) do to provide us with the terrific and valuable asset we have in Logos.

Then the title and the popup are both misleading as this is not training in the use of the software.
From LT271: "We’ll teach you ten specific steps in Bible study, and show you how to use the tools in Logos to gain the most insight from every step."
Perhaps it's not the (comprehensive?) type of training that you envision, but it does appear to be practical training in the use of Logos.
LT271 assignments include many practical application items:
LT271 Courseware TextBook could be improved by adding Help link section (after Assignments OR Resources) to Help resource, Logos Wiki, Forums, ... for more information.
For example, LT271 lesson one could have Help links for Notes Document and Prayer List Document. After public Notes Tool availability, LT271 should be revised.

That's the beauty of adding it to the feature and benefits, no partnership with local coffee shops is required but the claim can still be made. If I ever do get to make it to Bellingham of cup of joe from the fancy espresso machine would be a must after the long journey from Australia.

Thanks for clarifying what is being referred to as the free training. I think the website needs to be updated to make it clear as to what is being referred to as the free training. It has stumped old users so new users definitely will not have a clue that LT271 is the free training.
And as you have pointed out this is not exclusive to FL Connect members so my original assessment that FL is being misleading. If a claim is being made that something is a benefit of a membership program whether I am a new or existing user I expect it to be exclusive to members and not available to non-members.
Looking at the Logos 7 Basic Page, LT271 is not listed as being included as part of this package. Looking at LT271 web page it is in Starter Feature Set or higher along with some Bilingual packages. Basic inlude DIY Bible Study rather than LT271- or the web pages are incorrect.
