Permissions for Mobile Ed documents
It's been a while since I've downloaded a Resources_Linked spreadsheet from a Faithlife.com group.
I see today that Faithlife.com wants me to authorize its Amber Digital Asset Manager beta to be able to download the spreadsheet.
I'm uncertain why downloads need to be managed. The only thing I can think of is that it would be tracking which documents I download from a group.
It would really be convenient if we could simply download the spreadsheet, without even having to follow the group to get access to its documents. (I.e., permissions should operate on a per-document basis, rather than restricting access to Documents as a whole.)
Can this issue be revisited, please?
In the meantime, without further understanding of why Amber needs permission, I'm going to decline authorizing Amber (and lose access to a useful way to see which necessary course resources I don't own outside of Logos).
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

You shouldn't have to access Amber to get the Resources Linked spreadsheets. Faithlife groups recently updated the different sidebar options, so those spreadsheets--as well as the notes files--are now found under Bible Study > Logos Documents. You should be able to access and download the spreadsheet the same way you used to be able to.

I had tried Content->Files which triggers a prompt to sign in (to Amber). Since I couldn't get any further without authorizing Amber, I assumed that was the right place for the files, and hadn't explored any other sidebar options.
By the way, that sign in prompt is confusing. It's not obvious that the group is expecting the user to be signed in to Amber, in addition to Faithlife.com.

Spreadsheet downloaded, thanks!
I also checked to see that Logos Documents won't appear if you're not a follower. Any possibility of eliminating that requirement?
I only ask because I'm a follower of far too many Mobile Ed groups that I've never bothered to unfollow, simply to get access to the Documents (spreadsheet).

I've also wondered why following a group is necessary in order to download documents? What is Faithlife's incentive for this requirement?
For the most part, I have opted to miss out on these document download opportunities after realizing that following groups results in ongoing emails from each group, and the vast majority of the time, the email content is of absolutely no interest to me. My email cup already overflows--I really don't want any more. [:(]
Please reconsider this requirement.

Miles, I purchased a lot of Mobile Ed courses and have downloaded most of the corresponding documents by "following" in the group and downloading the docs and then "un-following" the group. I do this for a couple of reasons: a) the doc is handy when I decide to complete the course b) so that I'm not inundated with email alerts etc.
I don't want to "follow" the group to access the doc. Is there a way to get the doc without being in a group? Please?

Unfortunately the settings of Faithlife groups don't allow for public access to Logos documents. You can change your notification settings so you don't get email notifications though: https://faithlife.com/account/edit/notifications. You can also change these settings on a per group basis.
