Issue with Mobile Ed Transcripts

I don't know if anyone else feels the same way but I would really appreciate it if with the mobile Ed Transcripts, charts, photos, and maps shown during the video could be included in the transcript. Sometimes I watch the video and sometimes I read the transcript because video isn't an option at the moment. It is frustrating to me to have to make a note and go back and watch a video to see what was being referenced. I know with maps this might not always be possible but a link to where it can be found would be nice if not possible to put into the transcript.  I like mobile Ed thus far but I feel it could really be better if more attention was put into making the transcripts.

When the Revelation cities course came out I asked about the photos being included and Miles asked DeSilva for permission and it was granted which was awesome but I think this should have been included without someone having to ask for it.  Things flash on the screen so fast sometimes it would be great if we could get an extended look at something instead of having to pause a video.

If I'm alone on this, please disregard.

Thank you for considering though.

You're not alone, Mattillo.  I've had the same wish for other courses I've gone through.  I hope including such things will become standard practice.

Thank you Rick.  My thought is if you are spending hundreds of dollars on a class, the least you could get is a handout of what they are showing on the screen.  At least when I teach a class, I make PowerPoint handouts at a minimum so people don't have to rush to copy something down, especially when it comes to charts and graphs.  That is my hope here as I think it would greatly make these courses much more attractive.

I hope FL is listening and at a minimum considering

You are not alone. Given the price of the Mobile Ed resources, this should be a given.

I never have, and will never, watch the videos.  I read what the author said.  Charts, photos, and maps would, in the transcript, be ideal for me.

Thank you, FL, for considering this for past, and future courses.

I always watch the video and never read the transcript which is ideal for me.

I am with you on this.

I rely heavily on the transcript.  For me the value mostly lies in accessibility to information learned, which is mostly in the transcript.

Thanks so much for taking some of your valuable time and letting us know how we could improve our courses.

I have a made a note about this suggestion and I will add it to our list of potential future improvements.

    Many thanks!

I would also appreciate it if the mobile ed transcripts were footnoted, so when an instructor references a book there would be information on the work and/or even a link to the book in Logos. For example, Ian Jones in his course references a number of works that are not cited in a bibliography or footnoted in the transcripts. It would have been very helpful for this information to have been provided to his students instead of them having to research it through Amazon or other sources.
