BUG/Feature Request: Formatting of Exported Documents on Mac

For as long as I can remember, Logos on the Mac exports documents differently than Logos on the PC. The two images below are the exact same passage list. The one on the left was exported by my Mac. The one on the right was exported by my PC. Is there any way that the Mac exports can be improved?

Oh my. That's quite a difference. Hope this gets ironed out as I use export/print frequently on my Mac.

Has there been any update on this? I'm still experiencing the same problem.

Unfortunately I have not heard of any updates. Perhaps Philana can give us a status report. While I'm unsure of what this requires from a programming perspective, I can say that from a user standpoint this seems almost essential to me. Unsure why it isn't prioritized.

Wish this would get fixed. This is one of the few programs that I use that isn't optimized for Mac. I need this to function correctly and it simply doesn't.

I have filed a bug report for this issue.
Philana, can you offer us a status update on this bug report?

Hi John,
This mismatch in export format has found its way to my team now. I've updated the case with the information you provided but cannot give an estimated time to resolution yet. I'll follow up again once we schedule this for implementation. Thank you

Rodney,
Thanks so much for this! Boy, this is a bug that I've wanted to see resolved for a very long time. I look forward to seeing a resolution.
The icing on the cake would be the ability to adjust font size from the export window.
Thanks,
John

Just a quick update: This has passed our internal testing phase and should roll out next time we ship to stable. I know you've been waiting on this change so wanted to give you an update on the progress. Appreciate the patience while we get this fixed.

Excellent! Thank you so much! Looking forward to this.

When exactly is this? I noticed a significant update yesterday but this fix wasn't part of that update.

Looks like one improvement was made in v. 27.
Note the original difference between Mac and PC here.
The current iteration is an improvement over this. See below.
The headers no longer spill over onto the next line. The problem though is that the verses still do. In addition, the text is still awkwardly large compared to the PC exports. Changing the font size in the passage list itself does not change the font size in the export. Would also be nice to change font style.
In summary, the following improvements are still needed:
- Verse references that do not spill over onto a second line.
- Scaleable font size.
- Changeable font style.

Thanks for the details. I know we spoke earlier, but just commented as well for other viewers. We got a case written regarding the items above.

Thanks Matt, I appreciate it.
Per our earlier conversation, even if no new features were implemented here, a minimum goal would be to bring uniformity and cohesion between the Mac and PC UI for a consistent user experience.

This issue is still unresolved. Can Logos provide a status update?

I would create a new post addressed to @Matt Mattox (Faithlife) and link to this thread

The existing inconsistency is due to significant differences in implementation between the two platforms. I don't disagree that making them consistent would be an nice improvement, but it would also be a substantial effort, at the opportunity cost of many other things we could choose to improve.
I've turned this forum post into an Idea/Suggestion, so that users can vote on it, to help us gauge how valuable this would be for the larger Logos community. Thanks.1 -
Thanks Adam.
At this point, even just reducing the font size on the Mac to match the font size on the PC would help.

As an employee, I can't promise anything at the moment.
As a Logos user on Mac… well. You're not wrong. 🙂0 -
Thanks, Adam, for jumping on this! Sorry, Marino, for not giving an update on your latest comment. I wanted to loop Adam in as he'll have more guidance on this, but I figured that comment wouldn't be that useful.
