sorting by author

I wanted to sort my available mobileEd courses by specific authors.  I noticed the selection behavior made it so that each selection was interrupted by a refreshing that made me lose my place in the long list of authors. I would prefer being able to go down the list and check mark each one that I want without having to wait on the refresh then start combing through the list all over again.

I like Apples.  Especially Honeycrisp.

Make a collection Type:Course and then sort results by author. That will take you out of the library and the constant refreshing. if you only want specific authors, you can include that in your rule. Something like this:

    Type:Course AND (author:XXX OR author:XXX OR author:XXX)

    Thanks, Carla

Carla, I appreciate that, probably would benefit from searching more like that. Takes bit of brain power I am not wanting to expend right now...and I figure, they have the tool ("check mark these authors")--why not make it easy to use? [;)][:)]

Sorry, I can't be more helpful.  I totally get what you mean. The checkmark functionality would be kind of cool. Carla

Friedrich, thanks for logging this experience. It's not optimal, particularly the larger your library gets. I think this feedback has been captured/documented here (link below). There is an option to add a comment to the feedback "ticket", feel free to do so. It seems like this feature is on the radar, but not on the roadmap yet.
