Chords in Confidence Monitor

I would like to use the chord option in the confidence monitor, but the thing that's holding me back is that the next lyric preview does not contain the chords. The example page with this feature shows that this is possible (https://support.faithlife.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046699252-Show-Chords-in-the-Confidence-Monitor), but I don't see that on my desktop. Interestingly, these chords ARE visible on my laptop with proclaim, but not the desktop we use in the service.

What is the difference between the proclaim post & my laptop compared to my desktop that does not get the chord previews?

Hi William,

I would think your logged into the same account so it is likely an update issue on your desktop. You would want to make sure that your Operating system in general is up to date but likely the issue is actually that your desktop is not using an updated version of Proclaim. Turns out my laptop doesn't see the chords on the "next slide" any more. So I think it's the update that killed it! I will check what versions I'm on in various locations, but I usually keep up with the latest from week to week.

Sean, I just double checked everywhere and we're running 3.0.0.0041--the latest we seem to be able to download. With this version, the chords for the NEXT slide are not appearing in the confidence monitor.

But as the link I gave to the demo above and my past experience shows that we used to be able to see those chords and they're gone now. Can this get put back in?

we're running 3.0.0.0041--the latest we seem to be able to download.

Maybe it's a mac/PC thing, but there are a couple updates since 0041. I'm running 0044 see Proclaim 3.0 Release Notes (faithlife.github.io)

Hi William,

Are you getting an error message when trying to update? Do you have any pending updates for your computer's operating system you can try running first? I'm not sure why you would be able to update to .0041 but not the more recent ones

Brandon Adent mentioned that this is a feature that is going to be reintroduced in the future, so it sounds like it doesn't have to do with which recent version I'm on. I usually wait for the program to auto update, so I'll continue to upgrade along that path unless we seem to stay stuck on 0041.
