And with that, if someone wants to discuss the great attributes of ZipScript and why it would be useful in Logos....
How does "Replace with Passage" (text Service on macOS) compare to ZipScript ? (keyboard shortcuts can be user modified so selected Bible reference can be quickly replaced with passage text).
Two examples below have abbreviated Bible reference (usable in Logos & Verbum for navigation, ...) followed by "Replace with Passage" text:
pr 3.5-6
Proverbs 3:5–6 (LEB)
5 ⌊Trust Yahweh⌋ with all your heart;
do not lean toward your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will straighten your paths.
php 4.4-9
Philippians 4:4–9 (LEB)
Be Anxious for Nothing
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice. 5 Let your gentleness be made known to all people. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are pleasing, whatever things are commendable, if there is any excellence of character and if anything praiseworthy, think about these things. 9 And the things which you have learned and received and heard about and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Looks compatible.... depending on the formatting capability. Sorry but I don't have apple products and can't rightly say. ZipScript is better than Logos Ctrl+Alt+B because it is easier to use.... for example.....
1. I'm in some program and want to paste a verse or verses.... I hit my keys Ctrl+Z and pop up ZipScript, type my passage... press enter and the verse is pasted where I was in the program. Easy Peazy.
2. With Logos Ctrl+Alt+B .... pops up Logos screen, most of the time I have to type in the verse, press enter.... then copy, then go back to the program where I want to verse and paste it in.
Logos copy - paste workes but ZipScript is just easier.... imho.
But I don't think Logos is going to buy into ZipScript... which is sad.[:(]

Have you seen there is a Copy and paste option in Copy Bible Verses?
Not trying to get into the zipscript debate but wanting to check you had seen what was possible in Logos!

I post a Bible Verse of the Day along with The Prayer of the Day on about a dozen social media pages each morning at 5am, and Zipscript makes this possible in an efficient manner. Copy Bible Verse is much too laborious and overweight a function to tangle with early in the morning, the whole having to open Logos is a killer.
I have used Bible programs since the 80's and there are reasons it has taken until recent years for Logos to become a daily driver. Should they even consider reprogramming Zipscript the process would be a nightmare. I'll just keep loading a version of Wordsearch on my machines just to have the access to Zipscript and its Bibles.

Can anyone list the pro's and con's of adopting Zipscript into the Logos environment if that is at all possible?
Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

Unless you have Wordsearch and Logos installed on your computer, then this is not possible. You can no longer get Zipscript unless you already have it. It's dead for new installations. And it's not coming. (I could be wrong, but doubt it).
The benefit of Zipscript was that you could quickly add bible passages without opening Wordsearch. There's no way to do this in Logos. However, you can use Copy Bible Verses or CBV in Logos to copy passages to other programs with more formatting power than Zipscript had.

The few times that I have purchased/upgraded a new laptop, I have cloned the older HD to the new and even after the couple of years that WS is no longer available, I can still run WS and ZipScript on my laptop...I know that doesn't help anyone that didn't already have WS, but cloning is an option that will keep WS/ZipScript going for a few more years.

If you haven't done so.... please go to here and vote for ZipScript.
I don't know if votes count.... but it is a place where we can try.
Please vote!

I have to repent. I have stood tall and long and asked for ZipScript to be made part of Logos. Dal mentioned some time ago that Copy Bible Verse was as good as ZipScript... but I was used to Zipscript and couldn't see past the end of my nose because of it.
Well... long story short. About 3 weeks ago, I decided to work with Copy Bible Verses in Logos. It took me at least 3 weeks and some frustration, but being the persistent person that I am, I trudged through it.
Now I use Copy Bible Verses... I set up a style that I use, and it works as good or better than ZipScript for me. I actually have 3 styles that I use.
I guess I should thank Dal for him challenging me like he did. And I do, Thanks Dal. There were others that chided me about it also, but Dal was a main one. Just because I'm hard headed doesn't mean that others are not right sometimes.... lol
I do believe ZipScript will fade into the sunset eventually. But I also believe that Logos Copy Bible Verses will still be around... just my opinion. But this opinion added to me finally asking myself "What am I gonna do when ZipScript fades into the sunset?"
I would challenge all post WordSearch users that are still using ZipScript...to think about going through the trial of making Copy Bible Verses work for you.

Thanks, Brother! I hope that when I need someone to challenge me also, that you’ll be one of the first ones to do so to keep me in check
