Linked below is a .docx that can be compiled as a Personal Book (type: Monograph). It can facilitate discovery of and listening to sermons/teaching presentations and debates of Dr. James R. White, and The Dividing Line webcasts produced by White and ministry coworker Rich Pierce. Links to sermon metadata can appear in the Sermons section of various guides, and be browsed by various indexes at the bottom of the Table of Contents pane of the compiled resource. The metadata entry will have one or more web links (at the bottom) to various web locations that offer audio or video media. The front matter of the resource details the possible media links. The front matter also lists title prefixes that help the user discern various recording types when viewed in Guide results, since all recordings are 'Sermons' for purposes of Logos functionality.

For those not familiar with Dr. White: he is a Reformed Baptist pastor/elder, apologist, author, and educator. He has participated in 170+ formal (moderated) debates and has written 20+ books. (A number of his books are available in Logos.) He is the Director of Alpha and Omega Ministries in Phoenix, Arizona.

FYI. I have been a frequent listener to Dr. White’s recorded work for several years. These are highlights that come to mind:

    Dividing Line Episodes:

    • 2/1/2007—2/20/2007 – Dr. White provides informal lectures on textual criticism covering six episodes. Very helpful for those of us lacking formal training. Begins with the fascinating account of Erasmus’ efforts to publish his first Greek NT text.
    • 9/21/2004 – Minneapolis radio host Todd Friel calls in and the entire program is devoted to his questions about singers Phillips, Craig & Dean and their bashfulness in discussing their Oneness theology.
    • 6/22/2002 – Steve Camp joins White in remembering the ministry of Keith Green, on the 20th anniversary of his death.
    • 9/21/2006 – James Renihan joins to discuss the history of the LBCF and the influence of John Owen.
    • 5/3/2012—5/10/2012 – Dr. White reviews and refutes Matthew Vines’ notable 2012 protest against Life Itself. An exemplar of one aspect of White’s apologetic methodology, in that he allows the opposing viewpoint ample time for accurate representation using their own words for complete context.
    • 3/13/2012 and 8/9/2012: William Lane Craig’s odd Trinity analogy involving Cerberus, a mythological three-headed dog.
    • 6/18/2019 & 6/20/2019. The ‘choice meats’ analogy. (Leighton Flowers, Pelagius, and an Open Theist walk into a meat market…)

    Debates:

    • 5/15/2001 versus Barry Lynn: “Is Homosexuality Compatible with Christianity?” Rev. Lynn failed to bring a Bible to the debate. Lynn (who is also an attorney) attempted legal action to prevent publication of the debate, presumably because he wasn’t pleased with the outcome.
    • 11/8/2006 versus John Shelby Spong: “Is Homosexuality Compatible with Christianity?” Historical curiosity: Twentieth-century Episcopal Bishop Spong did not know who widely-published nineteenth-century Anglican Bishop Ryle was.
    • 8/29/2005 – “The Resurrection of Jesus Christ”. White is joined by fellow Reformed Baptist educator James Renihan versus ‘Jesus Seminar’ scholars John Dominick Crossan and Marcus Borg. (Hello in there, Dom; tell me, what color is the sky in your world?)
    • 10/16/2006 (scheduled date) – “The Debate That Never Was’ – The ‘Baptists & Calvinists’ debate with White and Southern Baptist Pastor/Founders Ministries President Tom Ascol versus Southern Baptist educators Ergun Caner and Emir Caner was cancelled days before the scheduled date. White and Ascol recorded what their presentations would have been, then used audio clips to represent what the Caners might have said.
