I tried to perform a BWS with "lay hold" but the query was not accepted.

Is this expected behaviour?

Are you saying "lay hold" as in the English phrase?

I tried to perform a BWS with "lay hold" but the query was not accepted.

It is suggested for Bible Search but not for BWS - I think that says "one word and one word only" please!

Yes - "lay hold" as an English phrase.

What would be amazing in BWS Translation section was if phrases were treated as a single semantic unit (when you mouseover one of the sections in the pie chart), rather than each word triggering a separate pie chart of its own, which does not usually represent a useful extension of the existing semantic field.

e.g. if I had run a BWS for some Greek verb whose translational glosses included "lay hold", and I mouseovered that section of the pie chart, I would want a chart for all the synonyms of "lay hold", not separate charts for "lay" and "hold" if that makes sense.

    As below?

Clicking "lay hold" generates separate pie charts for "lay" & "hold" rather than one for "lay hold"!
