WORDsearch: New Computer Installation Guide
Install WORDsearch (12) for the first time on a new machine.
On your old machine:
Open File Explorer and copy all these directories to a thumb drive.
Find where you installed WORDsearch, the default directory is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Wordsearch 12\
Also copy the information in these directories to your thumb drive:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Wordsearch 12\
C:\Users\username\OneDrive\Documents\WORDsearch\
NOTE: be sure to name the directories by the right name so you can copy them to the right “new” directory.
On your old machine:
Start WORDsearch and go to: WORDsearch Options\Backup
Save your Backup to the thumb drive.
On your new computer:
Copy/paste all of the above directories to the same directories on your new computer.
NOTE: (do this last)
On your new machine:
Start WORDsearch and go to:
WORDsearch Options\Restore (select the Backup directory on the thumb drive).
Last: Go to WORDsearch Desktops and select the desktop of your choice.
Everything should work like it did on your old machine.
