If you have a resource update to send out today...don't.
That does not make sense to me.
We signed up for a Beta program. I expected ahead of time that there would be frequent updates.
Am I misunderstanding you?

Updates, yes. But I've had to endure three re-indexings (nice word, huh?) of all my resources in the past 24 hours due to the 'updates'. In fact the third one is still running. So I hope any future updates are bundled and only require one re-indexing. (Pipe dream I suppose.)
I may be a beta tester but I do have other work I need to do and re-indexing slows everything down.
I have resources comming out that I have bought as pre-pubs and you are right we have had a number of updates that have been sent in the last week.
I too don't want to clog up my computer so have to manage the download and indexing time.
I am using L3 on my laptop and keeping that up to date. Having been super keen to download beta 3 and found false alarms, I have decided to go slower. I was expecting to update to beta 4 on Monday evening but it didn't come till Tuesday. I also had a resource from pre-pub purchaces all of which would require reindexing.
As it happens because I chose not to open L4 (and use L3) I had no updates. I watched the listings and found thatr several updates were also coming.
Working like the tortoise and not the hare has saved me time reindexing and I organised myself so that the reindexing process took place while I was asleep!
I have to do it this way to keep me sane. Indexing just takes too long any other way[sn]
Yes. I did. and should they send one out again today, yes...I will update. I was half kidding and half frustrated. I know they need to have things tested out, but I would rather live without Biblical people/things/places until the next Monday. The way I look at it is this. If they send an update out every day that ties up my computer and prevents me from fully testing the Beta then in the end all we know is that the re-indexing works...I haven't had a chance to put it through the ringer because its been updating the whole time.
Which is why they say, and always have said that you only should have the beta installed if it's not your primary machine...things get broken, things don't work like they should, etc. [:O]

HMM. Might be nice if I had a second machine handy. Didn't see that as a requirement to be a beta tester, though.
