Compatability with Sonoma Developers Beta
Comments

As of today Logos beta 28.0.18 appears to work with Sonoma Version 14.0 Beta (23A5312d). Even the three-vertical-dot menu is working.
That being said, as long as Sonoma is in beta anything can happen, and users should NOT install Sonoma as their sole OS until it is formally supported by Logos. I have installed Sonoma on a second volume on my MacBook Pro, so that I can switch easily to Ventura when necessary.

Can confirm the new beta is working for me too! Thanks for noting this!

Any idea for those of us that are stuck from getting into Logos on how we can find the install for the beta? I can only find release notes and the instructions to change the release channel inside the settings (which I can't get into because I can't load Logos).

Phil,
I am no longer on the Sonoma beta. Did Apple release a new beta of Sonoma today?

No, I was referring to the Logos beta. The last couple replies above mine said the newest Logos beta seemed to be working.

I remember when I first got my Apple Silicon Mac (M2) Logos would crash every time I attempted to use a screen reader. Through working with the developer team and trial and error it turned out to be the native voice I had selected (any of the Siri voices) that was causing the crash.
This is why you have Alpha and Beta programs to let the public break stuff and see where you can make it better.

Absolutely. It's just personally irritating when I'm too foolish to NOT install a beta OS on my primary production machine. I'm usually really good about that, but wanted to try a couple of small features out in Sonoma and, of course, it just HAD to break the most unique, mission-critical program I have!
But, really glad the Logos team was able to get a version out to override my impatience and foolishness. Thanks, everyone!

I downloaded Logos 10.28 beta and it seems to run ok under Sonoma beta version 4.

Thank you for the update. Logos 10 crashes immediately when trying to open on the latest Sonoma Beta. Using MacPro 14 M1 Base model also the same thing happens on my M2 Mac Mini.

That's the thing with betas; anything can break at any time.

You <should> be using the newest version of the app. The Current version is 27.2.21... (not "Logos 10"), but you probably need to be using the current beta version of Logos.

I just installed Sonoma Beta 5 today and had the crashing error. Fixed it easy enough by getting a new dmg of the latest beta and just replacing the app in my applications folder. So far it’s working and doing what I need on the latest beta. Give that a shot and see if it works!

These links will always download the latest version of the beta installer.
Of course, if this is your first time using the beta app, please read the entire post there for full information on using the beta app. Note that under normal circumstances the best way to join the beta app is to change your update channel per the instructions in that post. Changing your update channel is required to receive updates of the beta app.

Nick,
"under normal circumstances" is misleading and the sticky post https://community.logos.com/forums/t/52967.aspx should be consulted before a decision on the "best way" is made, especially when you state that "changing your update channel is required to receive updates".
