Suggestion?
I'm getting a back payment of 50k Canadian. I am willing to spend 5k on logos products. What would be idea to buy? I was looking at TDOT, NIC, NIVAC, and some others but can't seem to find any good packages containing all these. I already have HALOT/BDAG/Brill's and a good amount of reformed resources like 2000 book library as it stands but now I want resources that will actually benefit me and ones I'll actually use daily.
Any suggestions?

Hi James: Think about Scott Christensen, Reformed.
1. 40 Questions about Suffering and Evil: It is in prepub. I have/read his What About Evil. Well written. Goes thru the possible reasons for evil + concludes it's for God's greater glory....He has, as well, rewritten What about Evil into a simple format with simpler vocabulary. It is pub. in Logos, but I forget its name.
2. What about Free Will: It is on my to read list.

3. 4. Thomas Schreiner: 40 Questions about the Law...+...The Law and its Fulfillment...................You need at least 1 of these in your collection.
You may have some of these already.
This 5k adventure sounds like fun.!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the suggestions! I'll def check them out. I don't wanna buy a base package with a bunch or random books I won't ever open. So I'll take these items into consideration. Thank you

You're most welcome.
How ere you doing re systematic theologies?
BTW, I'm a layman, so my opinions are just me. As a fellow Canadian, I never say where I live now [the i'net knows too much], but I was originally from Winnipeg.

I have reformed dogmatics and various other systematics like Hodge, ryile, Sproul and so on.
I am more looking for resources that will help in word studies and such. I already have HALOT/BDAG, Brill's, IVP bible dictionary black, anchor Yale bible dictionary... Etc.

Gotcha. I don't do word studies, so my ability to help you is limited. My best thought is for you to start a new thread with 'word studies' in the title, asking re best items to purchase.
All the best to you on this.

Logos is not an ideal reading platform. Given that, I'd skip books of type:monograph and stick with versified books and related that can directly help with Bible study. This would include commentaries, dictionaries, lexicons, and theologies (which work with some of the interactive tools and a couple of the guides).
You are wise to avoid libraries and many collections and choose individual books or sets that are of direct help to you.
Eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river.
