Again, are you sure these are all out of copyright?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

No I am not sure.
When you say ""are you sure these are all out of copyright?" I tried to
answer that when you asked about FF Bruce and John F. Walvoord
As I stated concerning the works by Mark A. Copeland, Brother Copeland
gave me permission to use his material back during the Pandemic. I assume
you are including his works in asking that question. Copeland and I are
friends and I take someone at their word in this case. Not to mention the fact
that Brother Copeland and I are preachers for the same church. So far all material I have posted in the past few days was copied
direclty from the http://holypig.com website. I have always thought
that the owner of that website was "above board" so to speak. Also,
I plan to post material solely by Mark Copeland. Since I have his personal OK
to use material posted on his website that shouldn't be a problem should it?Mark

The Canon of Scripture - By F. F. Bruce
Following up on MJ's question - if https://www.logos.com/product/2979/the-canon-of-scripture is the same book then it is under copyright.

Then someone needs to tell the operator and owner of the http:/holypig.com
website that it is under copyright. That's were I copied it from. In fact, it has been
available online since before the Pandemic. I do know that whenever he has been
informed that a Link or work associated with one of his links is copyrighted, then he
generally posts a notice for a particular book or chapter informing users of such.
Apparently he is not aware of any problems. Now the book I have posted is composed
mostly of PD material. Especially material by Mark Copeland and Steve Rudd, both
of whom I know personally.
Which items in the book I posted are under copyright? I try not to make available anything
that is less than 70 years after the author's death. If Bruce's work is 100% under copyright then by all means, delete that portion and
repost the Book please. Didn't know if a user could change, edit or delete a work if
it has been very long after it was posted. When I get back from church tonite I will see
If I can remove that portion of the Book and hopefully make everyone happy. Soon as I
get the chance this week I will email the owner of the holypig.com website and find out
why he is able to make a copyright book available. Assuming that it is not PD.

Before posting files on the forums for distribution, it is best to be sure of the books' copyright status and whether they are already available in the Logos store. I don't think we want the forums to become a place for unintentional piracy. Also, content freely available on a website may not necessarily be content that is freely available for recompiling and distributing in another format. Some websites explicitly state you can do so, some say you can't, and some don't say anything on the matter; it's best to err on the side of caution and go with those that give explicit permission.

The Burce work "Canon of Scripture" has been removed from the work I posted.
The link is still there in the Table of Contents, but when someone clicks on it, all
they will see is the following notice.... Hope this is acceptable to all concerned. The Canon of Scripture
By Frederick Fyvie Bruce
President of I.V.F. (1954-55) and Head of the Department of Biblical History and Literature in the University of Sheffield
This is definitely a must-have. It is available from the LOGOS Website and other sites.
I have changed the .doc file and reposted the Book without the F.F. Bruce work. Now when viewing the Table of Contents
a user will see the following in the Table of Contents:Table of Contents
- Can We Trust the Bible? - Regarding Its Preservation And Translation? - By Mark A. Copeland
- Can We Trust the Bible? - Regarding Its Canonicity? (Old Testament) - By Mark A. Copeland
- Can We Trust the Bible? - Regarding Its Canonicity? (New Testament) - By Mark A. Copeland
- What books of the New Testament did the Apostolic Fathers and Apologists Quote? - By Steve Rudd
- Canon of the Old Testament - From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia
- Canon of the New Testament - From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia
- How We Got Our Bible - From Ryrie Study Bible NASB
- Inerrancy and Canonicity - By Elmer Towns
- The Canon of the Bible - From Illustrated Dictionary of the Bible
- The Canon of Scripture - By F. F. Bruce (Copyright by DTS?)
The Link is there but no longer is the text there for "The Canon of Scripture" I changed the filename
of the .docx file, deleted the original .doc file and reposted the updated Book withou the Bruce work.
Didn't know what the time limited was for deleting, editing, or reposting a file. Now I have one more
book to change. This was easier than I thought.....Mark

that the owner of that website was "above board" so to speakI'm not sure that Rick Swartzentrover, the owner of that site, understands what being "in the public domain" means. He states on this page "Placed in the public domain by Rick Swartzentrover." An individual can't "place" a book in the public domain simply by sharing it on a public website.
In the US (where Mr. Swartzentrover is located), a book is automatically defined as being "in the public domain" (that is, legal to copy and distribute) on a certain date (whether it's actually available somewhere online yet or not). That date is computed, based on US copyright law, from when the work was published and (possibly, if the work was published after 1978) the death of the author, plus a given number of years (again, depending on when the work was published). There are other complications if there's second edition or if the copyright on that book was renewed.
In any event, Mr. Swartzentrover did not "place it in the public domain". So he doesn't understand what "public domain" means and I wouldn't trust that everything on his site is indeed legally in the public domain.

That makes sense for sure!
Thanks for that comment!
