Ability to add multiple bible verses on one slide

Using standard format as so: Romans 8:28,31,37-39,
Instead of having to create individual slides for each of the 3 pieces (Romans 8:28, Romans 8:31, Romans 8:37-39)

As a pastor I often reference non-successive Bible verses. Proclaim does not currently support this. An example would be 1 Samuel 7:18, 22

Is there any plan to add this feature?

Can you not just add multiple "Bible" items? This is supported within "On Screen Bible" items, where it's critical due to the animation, but for standard "Bible" items, I'm not sure what difference it makes?

Right now the Bible Item only allows whole passages to be displayed. However, my congregation follows the Revised Common Lectionary. And the RCL uses select passages displayed by commas all the time, such as Luke 3:15-17, 21-22. The Bible Item does not support this.

Because the Bible Item doesn't support commas, this passage selection cannot even be displayed. If I grab Luke 3:15-22 and manually delete verses 18-20, I still cannot then go back and change the reference because it will not display on the slide. :-/

Also, partial passages, like 1 Corinthians 12:12-31a work, but I would expect a warning from Proclaim to say that passages may require manual editing.

Coming up on Baptism of Our Lord Sunday, the RCL text is Luke 3:15-17, 21-22. Why can't Proclaim do this?

I said basically the same thing at https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/proclaim/posts/bible-item-commas-in-passage-reference - noting hear to link the two requests.

Yes, this would be a very helpful feature
  • It would be helpful to be able to use the ; so as to be able included verses and chapters in the same book of the Bible (i.e. Gen 1:5,7,8;2:5-8)

    This would definitely be helpful!
  • We are becoming an increasing multilingual church and want to display at least two Bible texts in two languages. We have been looking at what ProPresenter can do and
  • This would help with consistency and ease

I completely agree that this feature is needed and it should also show the reference on the slides the same. ie: 1 Corinthians 13:1-8,13-15,20

Yes please. Would love this! Seems like an obvious addition to me. Would help us a lot.

Please finally yes. It's been so annoying not to be able to simply copy-and-paste the RLC texts like you can in any other Bible app.

I hope this addition would also affect the short code we use in the sermons. Right now, this works: [[Matthew 1:1-10]] but this doesn't: [[Matthew 1:1-3,7-10]]

Would be nice t have it as a split screen or two column format for instance.

    This would be very useful
  • This should definitely be a feature. Usually have to copy and paste to get a useful layout. One verse per slide is very limiting... yes I know scrolling feature helps but for some that is not visually as helpful as being able to see a larger passage at once.

Also, can the Bible verse numbers within the slides be separated from the text of the respective verses by nonbreaking spaces, so that they automatically stay on the same line?
