I own this in print and it's superb. It's a fresh modern jewish translation with a sensitivity to the form and wordplay in the original language, and you should handle it with all the care and caution you would from any other one-man translation not done by a committee. But at the same time, as a translator Robert Alter is almost peerless. There are a few others on his level, but hardly any better. Making this old testament available for sale in your marketplace and allowing me to buy it digitally in Logos would turn me into a regular Logos user if I could search the text and footnotes, and access this on my phone.0
