Absolutely! I don't use Dark Mode during the day but I do at night. Would be nice to just make the quick change and not have to worry about a restart.0
-
I would use the feature more if I didn't need the restart. As it is now, I often just opt to leave it in whatever state it is until I feel like restarting the program.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I agree this would be a nice feature. I use Night Mode exclusively (great addition) but have noticed some charts and graphs within some of the resources are challenging to view in Night Mode. I tried to attach a screen shot but was unable. If you look through the Holman Bible Handbook for example (Acts 20: 17-35), you will notice how difficult the charts are to read in Night Mode. Thank you.0

yes, please do this.0
-
..and do it automatically with the system settings, with a nice soft transition into or out of!0
-
Agree ! the restarting part is just too 20th century.0
-
Restarting is super slow. I use a specific screen layout on my Mac (full screen split view with a supporting app), restarting Logos messes up the layout all the time. Very cumbersome.0

Yes please0

agreed0

This is clearly one of the most requested features. Why is it not "Planned" as some other less requested features? :)0
-
I don't understand why you guys opted to use something other than the native Dark Mode support in the first place.0

Yes! A needed change.0

Restarting makes the feature clumsy, and out of step with other apps0
-
Dark Mode came to macOS Mojave in 2018. At this point, it can hardly be called a new feature. The only apps I use that still don't follow the system Dark Mode settings are old, single-developer apps. Logos positions itself as leading-edge software, but for Mac users their slow adoption of a macOS feature like this makes it feel like they're trailing far behind the pack.0

“Need your opinion”
Yes. 😉0 -
Absolutely needed and disappointing it hasn't already been implemented. There was feedback shortly after the release of Logos 9 for this functionality.0
-
It would be great, as the "system" setting on the dark/light modes misses the switch about 99% of the time on my computer. I almost always have to manually switch Logos between light and dark. Having the ability for that to happen without having to restart the app would be incredible.

Please, add the feature.0
-
This is, in my opinion, the biggest pain point of this software. I love the product, but hate having to re-open everything when switching from light/dark mode.0
-
I really need this feature. I normally use it from day to night and from night to day. It's a hassle to restart the software just to active day or dark mode.0
-
Agree.0
-
Absolutely, I use Dark mode but when you want a screen capture for something, dark mode does not cut it. Also, some books are not ready for Dark mode.0
-
Yes! I really like the option of Dark Mode but restarting to switch is really inconvenient.0
-
please make this possible! Sometimes I like to view highlights in dark/light mode.0
-
I almost never use Dark Mode. While I would not want fixing this feature to trump other features that are more significant, it does seem like it would be awfully annoying to a user to have to shutdown/restart to repaint the screen into Dark Mode.0
-
It's like using Windows 95 all over again LOL0

Go for it ...0

OOh yeah!

Yes please on Mac. Other apps toggle automatically. I leave dark mode on all the time because restart sometimes takes over an hour of intensive processing0

For sure, this is something I'd want.0

YES. DO IT!0

Dark mode is great but sometimes I can see the standard mode better. I hesitate changing because I don’t want to have to reset the program0
-
There is zero technical reason why the color palette desired should require a reboot of the app0 -
Yes, please! And make it a true dark mode, not just a dark gray background!0
-
Parker - I thought the "gray background" was the product of my 2017 Macbook monitor. I thought a newer/high-resolution one would remedy that. It's interesting to hear it's not just my old Mac.0
-
Definitely change modes without restarting!0
-
yes pls! Dark mode without restart! And option to choose totally black not just dark gray0
-
I would prefer to keep some shade of gray (darker is fine) but not pure black. It's rare for any app to use pure black because the contrast is too high, especially for reading when the font is pure white. It'd be great if there were a few options for customizing things like this. And yes, all editable without restarting the app.0

Seems what the people want! I concur. (Side note, enjoying reading in Bible app with dark blue background)0

Absolut! Der Neustart nervt einfach nur...0

Is there any ETA on this? :) Twice a day it's my ritual to restart Logos and redo all my split-screen arrangement afterwards, but would gladly let go of this. :)0

"YES"0

Yes, a dark mode without restarting and having to full screen all open windows etc... would reduce friction... and enable more focus on the scriptures... which surely would be for the best!
Perhaps this is hard to implement correctly for users with lots of windows open... fair enough... how about simply allowing the user to alter the theme of the opened book / window, and not the whole application... I imagine that would be better than no change at all without a restart...
I upgraded to Logos 10 Foundations to enable this feature (previously one had to restart, and I had assumed this was because I didn't have the most recent version... but apparently not!)
The Lord continue to open the scriptures to us....0
