Please allow us to change the sort order for facet values under facets in various browsing sidebars throughout the application to alphabetical. Bible books should be orderable canonically.

It's silly to sort by number of resources in each facet for most facet types, since you're probably looking to browse through those facets and the ones with higher numbers of resources in them are arbitrary, not necessarily what you'll want to filter by. When I want to browse through Subjects or Type or My Tags or Author or Collection, Series, or Publisher, I would only care to see them alphabetically. For Language, frequency makes since since most of my resources are English. For rating, the current order of 5...1 makes good sense. Last Updated and Added make sense the way they are (Today, Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days, Last 30 Days). The other facet categories don't have enough entries in them to make much difference to me.2

Also ensure that there is always a search option.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

And note that there exist multiple canonical orders by allowing the user to set a system parameter defining canonical order.

Yes, please. I've been happy with being able to use the search button. But an alpha sort would be more efficient in some cases, and it will enable you to browse through the entire set of facets. That would be particularly useful when scanning through one's tag list.0
