Hi,
I was directed to submit a BUG by your 'Chat' feature. I hope it's the right place to address my issue.
Both BECNT and WBC commentary series have off-norm 'link set' link behaviour. For example, BECNT James (McCartney, D. G. (2009). James. Baker Academic) accurately points to the commentary in 'Exegesis and Exposition' for Jas. 1:1-25, but at 1:26 and 27 it points to the information on the verse in 'Additional Notes'. Skip to 2:1 and it points to 'Exegesis and Exposition', but at 2:5 it again points to 'Additional Notes'. This makes for a lot of scrolling to get to the 'comment'—and needing to reset verse location to get back to where I was in other resources.
Likewise, in WBC for James (Martin, R. P. (1988). James (Vol. 48). Word, Incorporated), James 1:1-16 point to the 'Comment' on the verses. However, at Jas. 1:17 it suddenly skips to the section heading / bibliography '3. Testing: Its Source and Mischief—and Rationale (1:12-19a)', leaving the user to scroll down to the 'Comment' manually... This continues for vv. 18, 19, and 20, but then at Jas. 1:21 it jumps back to the 'Comment' for the verse, and so through v. 25. Unfortunately, at 1:26 and 27, it again points to the section heading / bibliography '1. The Obedience of Faith (1:19b-27)'.
Expected behaviour: that link set links will consistently point to the 'comment' for a verse rather than a section heading or other notes.
I have only given examples from James, since that's where I'm currently working. This behaviour is characteristic of numerous volumes in the BECNT and WBC commentary sets. A thorough check and adjustment of link set links in these series would be most appreciated.
Thanks for considering this matter,
Paul
