New Feature: Disable Transitional Animations

Can you please add a setting to disable the animations between resources in the mobile app? It makes some actions take so much extra time, and really slows down productivity. For instance, if I am in a note and I tap a reference, I don’t need to see a 3 second animation taking me to my Bible resource. Usually, I want to see the reference, then go right back to taking notes. Thanks.

Agree completely. Please have an optional setting to disable animations, starting with page turning (switching resources with two finger swipe is ok to have animation, to visually distinguish between page turn and resource switching, since that is relatively low cost). Hitting back button should definitely have no animation, nor when opening passage/exegetical guides, or hitting the "bible" button in resource switcher. Don't need the animation when opening a new book, or when opening a note either. Those animations serve little functional purpose, from a visual cue standpoint but slow things down significantly. Esp. when you have more than 4 or 5 books open (or try 20+) , the frequent linear scans get out of control .0

Oh one other thing: Search. This morning I wanted to search for a verse and had 32 resources open. I hit "search" and it proceeds to scroll through the entire list, pauses, and opens a new tab at the end. A lot of times I just end up searching for verses in google because of this. Please make the search bar open instantaneously from wherever you are. I don't need to know where it is in the list - I'd only ever go back to the search page by hitting "search" or "back" anyway.
Btw, some other ideas to improve the resource switcher:
1) Increase information density. With the linear carousel I can only see 2 things on the screen at a time. You're wasting the entire top and bottom of the screen with blank space and the linear access pattern is too constraining. It would improve random access of resources by simply going to a grid format like the way chrome works. (And no animations please :))
2) Additionally, it would be interesting to group related resources to the bible that they are associated with. For example, if I'm working on one passage, maybe all the commentaries, passage guide, etc can hang off from top to bottom on the right side of the bible that they are associated with. Ie:
--------
| commentary 1 [NICNT]
bible. | commentary 2 [PNTC]
esv | passage guide
| text comparison, etc
--------
Then if I have multiple bibles or multiple passages open, they each can have their associated resources right next to them to quickly reference off of without having to hunt for them in the list.
Particularly if resources are part of the same link set.
3) Please add a simple "close all" to clean up your workspace and start over.0 -
Agreed. See also my own submission on pop-up menu, related but different. Would appreciate feedback on that one too.0

Agreed. Would like the option to speed up the transitions too, instead of merely disabling them.0

Exactly.

If you can't give us an option to completely disable the transitions (preferred), can you guys at least consider speeding the animations up by 5x so they don't take so long? Also, in the resource switcher, it feels like there is a maximum "speed limit" in your intertia animation, so that even though I swipe my finger really fast across the screen, the window pains are still moving at a fixed slower speed. Fixing the speed limitation feels like it should be a very small change for you guys, but would greatly improve the usability of the app.0

Yes. The animation is messy on e-ink readers like Boox Page or Go Color 70
