Import from Canva

When creating a slideshow it would be awesome to be able to import directly from Canva in addition to the browser/file upload.

The thing that makes Proclaim special is its cloud-based approach. Integrating other cloud based platforms like canva, drive, dropbox, iCloud etc. seems like major value add for the platform. If I'm looking for a cloud based presentation software it's likely because my org has already begun migrating to cloud based storage, graphic design, etc.

This should not be that hard. Canva is doing EVERYTHING they can to make their platform integrate into everything.

Right now we do a lot of downloading from canva and then importing to proclaim. would simplify things if it was possible to import directly from canva.

Nearly everyone creates content in Canva now. It would be great if Proclaim and Canva were directly connected.

It'd be great to have a much smoother process to get things from Canva to Proclaim. Love this idea. (I don't care as much about drive, dropbox, iCloud integration—but Canva is where all the design happens.) Two thumbs WAY up.

I would love to chat with any of you who have upvoted this idea to learn more about how you are using Canva and Proclaim -- https://calendly.com/david-cosand/logos-user-interview
  • @David Cosand  Hey David.  I'm Ben and I'm the head of the media dept at my church.  I had the same issue as these others as well.  I actually solved it by using links to Canva material unstead of downloading files.  This solved 2 problems: having to do file management on the local machine running Proclaim and then having to pick how many announcements I wanted to be animated since it's a little more of a pain dealing with the video files since I can't edit them anyway and they're bigger than the others.  Using the link to the file (I have Canva for teams, so the pro version), I update the files in Canva as dates change or extra info changes thru the year on different ministry slides, they just auto-update.  The only think I would like in this scenario is a refresh button in Proclaim that allows the program to re-cache whatever image is being pulled from the link.  It doesn't update super fast just clicking off the slide and back on it.  A refresh button on the web page slide editor would be great.  thanks.
  • This is a great idea, a Canva integration would go a long way
