Accidentally closing tabs

I love Logos but there's one thing that really annoys me. When I have 8+ tabs open, the tab sizes become smaller. This often leads to me accidentally closing a tab when I'm trying to bring it to the front. This happens because the clickable area around the "X" is way too generous. It's very frustrating when a needed tab accidentally gets closed because of this issue. I propose that the "X" area be made smaller so the user doesn't accidentally click on it. Make it more intentional to actually close an open tab. Thank you.

I have several Bibles and Commentaries opened, and sometimes I click on those, and accidently close what I want to read. Is there a way that I can chose to do away with the little "x" for closing? I am happy with close these tabs using the "ctrl-F4" or "right clicking."1

I think the area where you can press the x is too big.
I often accidentally close a tab because the area where you can press the x is way bigger than the x itself.0 -
I have this problem all the time and it is tedious to have to reopen stuff when it could be avoided. Other tabbed browsers I use do not have this feature (the x does not appear until selecting the tab) so it is counter intuitive here. Also, the x area takes up a lot of space. We could see twice as many resources without the hidden x feature on the tab, or we could see the short names more often.0

Thanks. I'm glad there are a few people that agree with me.0

middle click on a tab and it will close it. ctrl+shift+T will reopen any accidentally closed tab just like in chrome or firefox.0

I agree. The hotspot for clicking on the "X" to close the tab is waaay to generous around the icon. You think you're activating the tab but in fact you end up closing it on click.0

I actually like how the "X" currently works. I wouldn't change it.0

I suggested a pop up (or dropdown) list of open resources for navigating long list in the panels.

I suggest getting rid of x next to an open book along the top of a panel. Make it optional if the x is visible or hidden. Too many x's across the screen if many books are open.0

I got tired of this, as well, so I've found it helpful to use CTRL + Page Up/Down to navigate between tabs.0

On Mac Desktop go back to hidden “X” in the tabs.
1. Consistency is good. Logos 9 hid the “X” until needed. No benefit to always showing it. No need to change from what worked very well in Logos 9.
2. Although Chrome shows the “X,” MacOS generally hides. This is on the Mac Desktop app, so the Mac approach is more appropriate. I bet few Mac users use Chrome. I use Safari and Brave.
3. It is visually more elegant to hide the “X.” Yes the program still works but it is a move backward on the visual experience.
4. At least provide a toggle in settings to hide the “X” so it functions as in Logos 9. At least give us the option to haveMac programs conform to MacOS standards.
Thank you so much1 -
Logos should make the "X" optional. It's too cluttered with all of the "X's" across the screen.0

Please! The current situation is close to being a bug. It's often difficult to click on a tab without closing it.0

I agree. I posted a feature request for this same issue several months ago, not realizing one was already going. My feature request is titled: "Panel Tab Overflow: Move "Close Tab" X Button"0
