Direct livestream without OBS

Propresenter7 has introduced Resi so that you do not need to go though a third party steaming program. It would really help simplify the system if proclaim had a similar capability

I fully agree and would like to see this done...sooner than later!

I would not want this feature to the exclusion of continued NDI improvement. We use vMix to Live Stream and it makes sense for us to keep Proclaim and vMix as independent functions. The recent dramatic improvement in Proclaim NDI support has significantly improved the quality of our Livestreams. We are now outputting full screen and lower thirds from the same slides. Very clean and easy to operate when you have two operators, one on Proclaim and one on your streaming tool.

I feel similarly to Andrew. We also run vMix and Proclaim on two different computers with NDI between them.

I very much appreciate the modular approach Faithlife has taken with Proclaim to have it focus on presentation aspects, while leaving external sends and receives to external programs. There's always room for improvement but I'm not sure I'd like the "cost". We migrated from ProPresenter 7 because, in my opinion, it tries to be all things to all people and the quality and stability of the basic presentation operations has suffered as a result.  It would be a shame to see that happen here as well.

For those without multiple operators like Andrew and I are blessed with, something like a Streamdeck with Companion could make things quite efficient for you.  (Because OBS is kind of amazing.)
  • @Jeff Pyle  Hi Jeff. Our church is also a small church and what you described here sounds intriguing. Could you connect with me and share some information, please? Thank you!
