hi @Ross Van Reenan  thanks for the feedback -- is there any particular grouping that you are looking to create? what would you be using it for? have you tried creating your own groups today by shift-clicking then right-click > group?

@David Cosand  So I would like the opportunity to separate the service flow a bit more.  For example we have different headers and groups on ProPresenter that separates service from worship. Having the opportunity to have custom sections to put lyrics in and then separate them from the main service for speaking would be nice.

So having "Preservice Loop" followed up by "Warm Up" then "worship" and  then "Service" would be beneficial from church communities.
  • @David Cosand  is there any video on it? I would also love to have such a feature as if I'm using it in a Christian conference, I would love to separate worship from other stuff such as different speakers and different days into different groups. Thanks
  • This is absolutely a good idea! Would love to see such a feature specially when using in conferences, i would wanna sepearte different days and within those days, different speakers and etc.

I primarily use Proclaim as a Sunday school teacher and later in the week as a small-group leader. While I've adapted to using the current, it would be nice to have more options. During teaching, I find that I need to break away from the timeline to display a Bible verse that is not included in the presentation. It would be nice to have named sections so that the published bulletin matches a class rather than a service.

I agree that having the ability to add sections for worship, announcements (which could be easily shared with other news feeds as a group of slides), and so on would be beneficial.

If this were to give us the ability to set up our own tabs, what I would like to have the ability to set it up like this:
Pre-Service Loop , 1st Service  Warm-Up , 1st Service , Between Service Loop , 2nd Service Warm-Up , 2nd Service and finally Post Service Loop. This would be beneficial to churches whose 1st and 2nd service are different. I had to solve the problem by having 2 different presentations. Unfortunately pastor often ran long and here in the mountains our internet service was slooooooow. I didn't always have the time to switch and didn't have a cue to start our stream for second service. I eventually solved the problem with Advanced Scene Switcher in OBS by having a macro check the time before accepting the start streaming cue.

We only have a few differences between services , I know of churches that have different orders of service and different music in each of the services. For instance , their pastor gives a message early in the first service , the music comes next and is more traditional - goes to a different building and gives the same message after the music there which is hymns and organ , then returns to give the same message at the end of the second service AFTER the music which is contemporary. The two services in the same building could be set up as I have mentioned above.

Great idea. I'd like to be able to have a separate countdown timer running during band practice before the service. They need to be done 30 mins before the service starts, then all the service teams pray together for 15 minutes, and then only do we open the doors and the pre-service loops starts.
  • This would be a tremendous help with our service flow.
