The New Catholic Bible was published in its final form in 2019 by Catholic Book Publishing, makers of the ubiquitous "Saint Joseph Edition" Bibles. This is a new translation, landing on the formal side of the translation divide, with generous annotations which rival the New American Bible in quantity, but are more expository and character, and less, ummm... speculative. This work really deserves a wide audience. It's a shame the marketing geniuses at CBP named it such that half their potential audience is likely to think they already own a copy of it.
