Please improve the performance of starting Logos, especially to a layout, and especially with one with Bibles with lots of visual filters enabled. In particular, don't block startup on "Preparing your library," especially when there's nothing new to prepare.

  • Can the library preparation be set so it stays prepared so Logos can just open when I start it?
  • Yes, please improve this. Even with the latest update it is taking longer to start than I am comfortable with.

The Layouts button is often relatively very slow to display.  I expect searches to take a moment, but the core interface, which is used multiple times a day, needs to be essentially instantaneous. It is not. For example, the Layout button is relatively much slower than the Tools button or the Store button.  The basic program workflow should not slow down the user's brain workflow.  I often feel the user is serving the program, instead of the reverse. I'm currently using version 25.2.56 on a 2021 MBP M1 Pro.

@Ross Durham  The Layout button is still super slow.  This is distracting from what I turn to Logos to do: devotion, study, sermon prep, etc.  It seems to me this is an issue that is working against your own goals for Logos.
