Video playback speed in Mac Desktop App

I understand there is no option to adjust the video playback speed of the mobile ed videos in the Mac desktop app, as you can do in the web app or the PC version. Please add this feature! I do almost all of my work in the desktop app and it would be enormously helpful to have this as an option, rather than having to switch back and forth between the desktop and the web app. Thank you!
