I like the new Proclaim, but I need the highlight function returned back to the text box ASAP!!!
This is essential for Responsive Reading by the congregation where alternate lines of text are read by different parties!

Yes, I also thought highlighting should not have been removed. However, the new Proclaim allows the coloring of any selected text. The single font color for all text no longer applies. Simply highlight the text and make it whatever color you need. Select another portion of the text and make that another color.
One thing which does NOT work; the proclaim text box has a black background so coloring any text black makes it essentially invisible in the text box. The text in the box should not color - keep the text in the box black but do not color the text in the box. (I've already sent a request on this. see attached image.)0 -
Lee and Bruce, Highlight still works, it's just a keystroke now. On Mac, its Shift+CMD+H
They just let you pick more colors now0 -

As Pat mentioned, highlighting still works with Ctrl+H (on windows). However, there doesn't seem to be a way to edit the color anymore. This feature needs to be restored.0

Ok, having spent some time between services trying to figure out this new change (because of course we figured out they changed things in the middle of a service...), here is how text highlighting now works:
- Ctrl+H still works, but there is no longer a helpful button in the text editor for highlighting text.
- Now if you open the Text Color dialog, and select one of the "Automatic" colors, it then assigns the text highlight color as expected, and colors the text blue in the edit box.
- The color of the highlighting text is apparently now "automatic", which is to say, entirely useless. I'm sure that Proclaim would choose an appropriate color based on the background color, if we used a background color. We do not, we have a custom slide background.
- Slide highlighting colors are now specific to each service item, rather than the much more useful and consistent global highlighting color.0 -
I ABSOLUTELY HATE that you all removed the easy text highlighting and it literally has me considering moving away from your platform. With this most recent update I see very little that I liked and A LOT that I did not0

I like the change, but it took a minute to figure it out. (Are there release notes anywhere?)
You can now manually change the color of any selected text (which means you can use **more than two colors of text** in a single text box). Just select the text, select your "highlight" color and voila.0 -

Here are the release notes.
We do still have the Emphasis text feature. It has been moved into the font color picker to keep all font color things in one place. In addition to emphasis text, you can now choose any color you want! (an annoying limitation before). So you should have even more flexibility and options for responsive readings or whatever ideas you have. You can also now do this with songs too (plus italics/bold)Mac | iOS | Android | Windows | Web Developer
