Dennis Prager has insights that will not be found in regular commentaries. e.g. he won't just explain the Ten Commandments, he will show why that's the basis of Western Civilization's morality and why that's the best system of morality around. He doesn't just deal with what, what does the Bible say, but why. You will learn things and think things you wouldn't otherwise. And I have been studying the Bible for 60 years.

I own these as physical copies and 110% would repurchase them in Logos! Such great commentaries should be considered essential reading! I can't state enough that these are first-rate AAA-grade books. It's not just 'yet another commentary'. It is insightful and helpful for understanding the scripture in a genuine and thought-provoking way. Its full of wisdom but best of all, it's understandable and NOT boring to read.
