Designate Panel for Opening Resources

I often have multiple panels going in Logos (I love how customizable the layouts are!). In one of those panels, I'll have something like the passage guide or a clippings doc that includes references to many other resources. As I click on those resources, they seem to appear randomly in various panels; I can't control where the resource is opened within my layout.
I would like to be able to designate a panel within Logos as the destination for opening new tabs when resources are clicked. If there was a pin icon (for example) that showed up in a single panel, then that icon could be moved around to indicate the desired panel for newly opened resources. This would greatly aid in my workspace organization, and it would speed up my work.

I have the same experience. This would be a handy improvement.
"Ever learning and always adding to my knowledge of the Truth"
"Worship God for who he is; Praise God for what he has done."0 -
I was already in the process of creating a similar ticket to simply allow me the option of "Open in the this panel," however I must admit that I quite like your idea of a means to designate the target panel. (A pin icon is a great idea for how to do so, though the idea of "pinning" is ubiquitous enough in UX that it might not be intuitive in this case. Perhaps a "target" icon instead?) Anyway, rather than create a new ticket, I have added a vote to this. I'll add the text I was planning for my ticket just as additional input for any developers which might read this.

Please add a simple way, e.g. from the right-click menu, to open a link from the passage guide in the same window/panel as the passage guide.
Either in preparing to teach or in writing papers for seminary, I often find myself studying multiple passages at once. My typical workflow involves opening a passage guide for each passage in a new floating window. I then go to open various resources (especially commentaries) from the passage guide. Unfortunately, clicking on a link in the guide often (usually) causes the resource to be opened in a different window or panel. Which panel seems practically random (though this is likely a weakness in my understanding of the application). Ideally, regardless of the default behavior (which I would love to more intuitive in and of itself), it would be ideal to have a way to easily open a link in the same panel. (I am aware that I can click and drag, but this is frankly a pain on a trackpad.)0 -
At least specify which window to open in. I often get things opening in a hidden window. Perhaps make use of right click on hyperlinks.
I appreciate the existing logic of not opening resource in the same window and I see that new resources tend to open in a particular window, its just that sometimes its consistently th wrong window0
