Please include the Authors name EVERYWHERE that you list a book.
For instance, I look today at the monthly specials, this is what I see,
"Christ Above All: The Book of Hebrews
(Transformative Word)
Christ—in all his glory and humanity—really does surpass all others.
$12.99
Save 76%
Your Price: $2.99"
Yes, I know I can click and get the authors name. Yes, I know that on many listings, the BOOK COVER shows the author's name (However, not in the case above). And I know that perhaps I should already know the authors. BUT COME ON, you are a for-profit institution, you are constantly looking for little things that make a big difference and show your customers that you care to serve....NOTHING is more important to me when buying a book than WHO the author is, and YET, you leave that crucial information for a graphic of the book cover, which may be unreadable!? THat is simply wrong.
Create a FIELD for the data AUTHOR NAME and INCLUDE IT EVERY TIME YOU CAN.
The way this is MOST annoying is when we are looking at PACKAGES. And when we are looking at packages, we are about to spend some SERIOUS MONEY. And I get a list of RESOURCES IN THE PACKAGE, what do I see: LOOK:
A Systematic Theology
Systematic Theology
Systematic Theology
Commentary on the Book of Galatians
A Commentary on Galatians
Commentary on the Letter of Galatians
The Epistle to the Galatians
Please. How hard is it to PUT IN AN AUTHORS NAME. I don't even need a title.
What I really need to know is
Hoehner, Ephesians.
Keener, Acts
Brown, John
Runge, Galatians
Looking at the monthly sale and "DON'T MISS OUT" section this month, I see 8 out of 20 sale resources that I can not see an AUTHOR NAME!! You are trying to sell books, are you not? When in Seminary, we learned to speak of author's names (it also clues us into the theology), it is the most important tiny bit of information. And for years you have refused to let your webpages list the author's name.
Be really nice to be consistant about listing the year too....but please, the author name should be a no brainer! :) Thanks for all that you do for us!!! (maybe I can finally list this one as something else you do well!).
