Distraught!

Biblia was my go to place to pull up a scripture, read it in several different versions, copy the version I understood the best to an electronic note, where I have the date, the Bible verse, the book, chapter, and the verse, my prayer and, journaling notes about the verse, all right there on the same page. Now I can’t even find a simple Bible verse without a sign on, an App or a bunch of different decisions I have to make to figure out how to get what I used to get by typing in the book of the Bible, the chapter and the verse. I don’t need to change font colors, I don’t need to highlight anything, I just want to read (look up) a verse in the Holy Bible. I don’t want to read the entire chapter or, have to have a PhD to figure out how to get to a different versions of the same verse. It’s heartbreaking to me that I can no longer go on the internet, type in a scripture and pull up one Bible verse. Heartbreaking! You have made it so complicated that I can no longer read one simple Bible verse online. What an incredibly sad day for the children of God, when we cannot read the Bible online. What is most terrifying to me is, that you, like the phonebook will go the way of the world and put an ApplePay, or a PayPal button so those that want to “donate”, will have to pay to read the Word of God. Fortunately, our God is Omniscient, and put His Word into print. I’ve held God’s Word in my hands for over 60 years. My Bible has been well loved. Although the print is small and the pages worn and tattered, God’s Word remains the same. I’ll be honest, I LOVE, knowing that my God and His Word will never change. It’s a very good thing to know, somethings never change! We need only to look at the world around us to know, not all change is good. You want to talk heartbroken. I just went from heartbroken to tears! I just saw something on your website that said; purchases. You’re ALREADY charging people to read the Word of God. I don’t think I’ve ever been more stunned in my entire life! Your making money off of people whose very Souls and eternity depends on them hearing the Word of; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. I am literally in tears. My heart is so distraught that my body is shaking just knowing that you make people pay to read THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD. I cannot begin to imagine a world where Gods Word is no longer free. I am compelled to shout praises to Almighty God because His freedom from sin is still free. People NEED to know, the gift of Gods only begotten Son is eternal and it’s FREE! It has always been free and will, until Jesus returned, continue to be FREE. This world needs to know that You may charge for them to know God, but He doesn’t. Salvation and eternal life are absolutely still free to those that call upon His name.

Nancy, thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry you're struggling with our site. It sounds like maybe you've left Biblia.com and visited our more advanced app.logos.com, which enables people to dig deeper into the Bible and mine for insights that come through access to the original Hebrew and Greek. While we're working to simplify the experience on the Logos web app, you might be better served by staying on Biblia.com, where you should still be able to do the things you're used to.
We have many free resources available, including many free versions of the Bible, available on both Biblia.com and the Logos web app (at app.logos.com), and you don't need to create an account or sign in to access them. We love that we can make free content and tools available to millions of people all over the world.
We do sell digital books to help people study the Bible, which are also for sale in print, but these aren't required to get value out of our free solutions. While we're very much supportive of getting the Bible and free tools into the hands of as many people as possible, we also believe it's appropriate to reward the laborers who have invested their time and skill to create helpful content. For many people, creating content to help people study the Bible is their occupation, and the money they make from selling it in print and digitally helps them put food on the table and pay their bills.
The Bible teaches that the worker is worthy of his reward, and our business model aligns with that.
1 Corinthians 9:14 says, " The Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel." https://app.logos.com/books/LLS%3ANIV2011/references/bible%2Bniv.67.9.14
1 Timothy 5:18 says , " For Scripture says , 'Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain ,' and 'The worker deserves his wages.'" https://app.logos.com/books/LLS%3ANIV2011/references/bible%2Bniv.75.5.170 -
You put a green, “advice” button on your website. However, that’s not what I gave you. I gave you an opinion based from the standpoint of need, and for that, I apologize.
You see, I grew up in an environment of need. It is only because of the kindness and generosity of other church members that I was able to attend church camp, mission trips, etc…
God gave me the gift of a kind and generous heart. Then, He jam packed it full of compassion for the needs of others. God also gave me a mother, who lived a caring, giving, selfless life, right in front of me. This trifecta has been know to set me up for intermittent implosions of compassion. Especially, when I don’t take the time to stop and realize, God’s resources are not limited. He will get His word into the hearts of the lost and dying of this world, regardless of their ability to pay. And, for that, I have apologized to God.
You are correct, the Bible does teach us that the worker is worthy of his reward. I begrudge no one for making a living. Out of need, I started working when I was fourteen. For awhile, in my early twenty’s, I worked three jobs at the same time. I worked for over fifty plus years. I only stopped working because my body gave out on me. With all due respect, Mr. Gons, I can assure you, God has given me a very good grasp on the need to be paid, make a living, pay for housing, putting food on the table and raising a family.
I’m not a theologian. There have been hundreds, if not thousands of times in my life, while reading the Bible, I’ve come across a verse or two, or five and I didn’t understand what God was saying. That’s why I loved the idea of going out to the Biblia website, and with a couple of clicks of the button, I was able to read different versions of the same verse, yet, in a way that I could better understand what God was saying to me.
That said; For a few years now, I’ve been doing the daily Bible verse, the short video and the devotion that YouVersion, Holy Bible offers. I’ve also been utilizing their free devotional resources. I noticed, just within the last few days, YouVersion will be / is already offering different versions of the Bible. At the time, I just glanced at it, and didn’t stop to read the particulars. This is, once again another example of my God, making a way for me.
I pray your endeavor will bring GLORY and HONOR to the Kingdom of God. I pray all those who are able to hear your resources will call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved.0
