Logos has overextended itself on tagging for resources as evidenced by the division between research and reader editions and the minimal addition of milestones in reference volumes. It also shows in the lack of specialized links. For example, Smith, Randall B. Reading the Sermons of Thomas Aquinas (A Beginner’s Guide). Edited by Matthew Levering. Renewal within Tradition. Steubenville, OH: Emmaus Academic, 2016. contains outlines for sermons in Thomas Aquinas. The Academic Sermons. Translated by Mark-Robin Hoogland. Vol. 11. The Fathers of the Church: Mediaeval Continuation. Washington, DC: The Catholic University of America Press, 2010. If would be very useful if sermons were milestones so the connection was easily findable through a search. As it is unrealistic to expect Logos to provide this coding, a way for users to create pseudo-milestones and link to them is a more realistic solution. Logos might find it valuable to review such user generated tagging and convert it to shared Logos tagging.
