Logos has extensive tags which provide a torrent of raw data but lacks views that integrate the data to create information useful to the user. This proposal is to test the waters for a vision of Logos/Verbum that is more visual and more integrated. If this is met with some enthusiasm, additional pieces will be proposed. The attached image is a sample of what 1 Kings 17 might look like.

Across the top, the verses of the passage are mapped out (think of years in a timeline as a similar example). There are provisions for a prior reference for elements that start before the selected passage but continue into it; there are provisions for a subsequent reference for elements that continue beyond e.g. the famine starts at 1 Kings 17:1 but continue on to 1 Kings 18:45. The left side identifies the type of division/event. The first line being pericopes; the second line being Biblical events (as given in the Biblical event navigator), the remaining lines come from labels and interactive that have named events. For each division/event on the left, bars with the event name indicate the verses covered. These are linked to (a) the label detail information and definitions (b) Factbook information where applicable (c) interactives where applicable ... and eventually I would hope to an action chart that provides the detail of what happens in those verses. All of which is probably only confusing unless you look at the attached image.

I would like to see header information that directed one to parallel passages narrating the same event.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I like this MJ. This is certainly useful.
