Highlighting Issues

There are several highlighting problems that occur sporadically. For example, when I have two documents simultaneously open, a book and bible, I often get different results for using the highlighting options. The book will not show the five highlighter colors available, but only give me the option of using four. However, when I move my mouse to the bible open next to it, I suddenly get the option of using all five colors. It doesn’t matter if I select the ellipse to get the fuller expanded view of option available after selecting text, the colors are not there. This makes no sense. Additionally, sometimes when I select (highlight text to be marked) I often get only four choices out of the six that should be available (5 colors and an Underline feature). If I select the ellipse to get more highlighting options, then the entire verse or paragraph is selected instead of just the word or sentence I chose. That forces me to go ahead and highlight the entire verse or paragraph, then cancel that highlighting in order to get that desired highlighter color to populated to the front of the highlighting cue (usually only 4 options of the 6 available) that first appears when you select text. Additionally, the software defaults to selecting the verse number with the text automatically when I am selecting several verses, but I often do not want to highlight or underline the verse number with the words. It would be great if there was a feature to turn on or off that option of highlighting the text alone or text with the verse numbers.
