Keyboard shortcut: Improve shortcuts on iPad

I take a lot of notes on my iPad for quiet time and sermon notes, but I have noticed that the shortcuts in the iPad logos app are very limited.
For example, I cannot use the iPad keyboard to copy and paste (command c), undo (command z), or indent a bullet point using the tab key.
Another thing I noticed about the iPad is that the keyboard options are clunky and hard to use. Changing font sizes, colors, and bullet points takes multiple clicks.
Can the notes on the iPad support formatting in a more streamlined way, like a Word document?
