Reading Plans Jump to new window

Situation: iPad Air 4th Gen, iOS 15, Bible Reading Plan with multiple readings from the same Bible every day. If I have completely shut down the app and then open it and begin my reading plan, the first tap to go to the next reading jumps to an adjacent window which happens to have the same resource open, rather than just jumping to the new location in the same resource pane. Once I move back to the original resource pane and tap for the next reading, all goes well.

I can only duplicate this behavior if I completely close out of the Logos App. If I do not close the app completely, this is never a problem.

Situation: Several reading panes open. One pane: NASB95PARA + BHS SESB 2.0 (linked); NASB95PARA + NA28 (linked); NASB95PARA (NOT linked). I am using the ESV Study Bible Reading plan. When I kill the Logos App and begin reading, the first time I tap to move to the next reading, the focus jumps to the UN-linked Bible.
